You can win in one of five major categories in a national, state, city and suburb level/division, as well as if you meet the criteria, be also included in the rising star award and agency network size awards.

The nomination deadline has passed. Rising Star award is based on agent nominations as well as sale data. You could nominate an agent or even yourself, so long as the Rising Star nominee meets the eligibility criteria, which is they must have sold their first property on or after 1 January 2017. They must also have at least 5 sales with vendor reviews during 2019 and not have previously won a RateMyAgent Rising Star award.
For an award to be issued in any given suburb, at least one agent or agency must have sold a minimum of 5 properties and received at least five vendor reviews in that suburb during 2019. If no agents or agencies have done this, an award will not be issued.
(In order to be eligible to win an award in a particular suburb, you or your agency needs to have sold at least five properties and received reviews for them, too).
We use several criteria to calculate results and decide on award winners. Your RMA Score is one of the most important factors in winning an award ( we send out your score in our Monday emails. Not getting them? Email email@example.com ). We also look at agents’ and agencies’ total numbers of sold properties and average sales value in 2019.
Your RMA score is the number of positive vendor reviews as a percentage of overall sales numbers, and in the case of property management, it’s the number of positive landlord reviews as a percentage of overall properties managed.
RateMyAgent 2020 Agent of the Year Awards is the only industry awards which recognise the most consistently recommended agents and agencies, with a strong focus on customer feedback as a lead indicator of success. Hence, greater emphasis on the overall client/customer experience and satisfaction as opposed to the number of sales made or property managed determines the winner, which helps potential vendors and landlords make an informed when selecting a real estate agent and agency to engage.
When you win an award, you will have access to a collection of awards assets, which will be made available to you via your agent portal. You can order additional trophies to place on your desk, at the office or even at home! You’ll also have a suite of download assets to share on your social media, send to local media or prinand place wherever you see fit. We’ve had proud agents lined their jackets with agent of the year branding, as well as billboard adverts displayed with their win. The options are plentiful!
The award rankings for 2020 aren’t just about sales. We take into account average sales value, properties sold and total unique seller recommendations in 2019
The same metrics are used to calculate the Agency of the Year awards, but we combine the total properties sold, average sales value and unique seller recommendations of each agent at an agency in order to reach a decision.
RateMyAgent Agent of the Year Awards is available to all real estate agents - you don't need to be nominated to attend.
